The Pilkemaster EVO30 is the reliable firewood processor with the most economical price tag of the Pilkemaster EVO series. It is an effective solution if you are looking for a machine able to cut and split firewood from logs up to 12 inch (30cm) in diameter. It can run on tractor PTO or with its own gasoline engine.
Firewood processor with patented V-shaped infeed table
Pilkemaster EVO30 features the patented Pilkemaster V-shaped infeed table. This table gives the machine its legendary ease-of-use. The V-shaped infeed table has a fixed part on the machine-side, and a mobile part on the user-side. The mobile part of the table feeds the log inside the machine but is also the splitting piston at the same time. The table is powered by the main hydraulic cylinder of the machine.
Unlike a rubber conveyor, the metallic infeed table does not wear down quickly. You also spare a hydraulic motor that would have been necessary to run a conveyor. With its ingenious hooking system, the infeed table powers also the optional log-lifter. With this patented innovation, the Pilkemaster EVO30 needs less power and maintenance than any competitor.
A single handle for all functions of the processor
The innovative infeed table of the Pilkemaster EVO makes the processor extremely easy to use. A single command-handle is enough for the whole firewood production process. When the handle is pushed, the infeed table will move forward, feeding the log that is inside the machine towards the saw. At the same time, it will split any wood that is already in the splitting groove. When the handle is released, the infeed table will come back to its original position. The log will remain stationary as it is blocked by the non-moving part of the infeed table. When the handle is pulled, the saw will come down and cut the log.
A locking mechanism blocks the saw and the backwards movement of the infeed table. It is also used to maintain the optional log-lifter in the upwards position. The saw has also a blocker element avoiding cutting the infeed table if it has not had enough time to get out of the way.
Optimized splitting force
The Pilkemaster EVO30 firewood processor is equipped with a 5.6-ton hydraulic cylinder. The 2/4 splitting wedge of the machine has a profiled knife that has been especially studied to minimize the necessary force for splitting. The vertical part of the wedge has an arrow-like design that will begin to split the wood in a single spot and tear it in two directions. The horizontal part for the splitting in 4-parts attacks the wood about 1 inch after the vertical part. With this special wedge, the Pilkemaster EVO30 requires a lot less power to split the same log as it would with a standard cross-like wedge.

Available options
The log-lifter makes it easy to work with logs that are on the ground: roll the log near your Pilkemaster EVO30 and put it between the two bars of the lifter. Then just activate the locking mechanism of the infeed table to avoid it to move backwards, hook the table with the hook of the log-lifter and use the control handle to move the infeed table forwards. The log-lifter will lift the log at the height of the machine.
The log-deck places the wood at the correct height to be fed directly to your Pikemaster EVO30 firewood processor. The Pilkemaster hydraulic log-deck has two hydraulic rolls which are synchronized with the infeed table and controlled by the control handle of the machine. The height of the log-deck can be adjusted. The rear of the table is adjusted to be a bit higher so the logs will roll to the machine. The patented handle on the table will pick the first log out of the deck while blocking the next one.
The hydraulic feeding roll will help the infeed table of the Pilkemaster EVO30. It is synchronized with the infeed table and will push the log into the machine at the same time the table moves forward. It is mainly useful for heavy and long logs.
Pilkemaster EVO30 is always provided with the standard 2/4 wedge which allows to split the wood in 2 or 4 parts. Optionally, it can be equipped with 2/6 or 2/8 wedges to produce smaller firewood or kindling.
Please note that the Pilkemaster EVO30 is limited to 5.6 tons of splitting force. Therefore, only softwood will work with the 2/6 and 2/8 wedges. We recommend these wedges mainly with EVO36 series processors.
If you are looking only to cut-to-length your wood without splitting, the optional 0/2 wedge will not split the wood at all if used at its lowest position.
The independent splitting option adds handles near the splitting groove of the Pilkemaster EVO30 firewood processor. These handles transform your machine into a horizontal wood splitter. You can simply put wood in the splitting groove, close the cover and use the handles to split the wood instead of having to go all the way to the control handle of the machine. This option comes handy when you wish to split a log again or if you have logs that have already been cut to length.
